02-Visit to Mi Pueblito & combine with other activity like Miraflores Locks or shopping around

Mi Pueblito is a replica of a small interior Panamanian town with their typical architecture and style, where you will feel the experience of being in a small town in Panama…* This is a combined tour with a visit to one of the Panama Canal´s set of locks.

Mi pueblito will show schools, governments and local authorities offices, houses, a church and a little plaza. You will also visit an interesting museum inside this theme park, where you will admire the “Pollera”, Panama’s national dress.

Mi Pueblito consists of:

  • Pueblito Afro-Antillano: which have replicas of Antillean’s village, honoring the black workers who came to work on the construction of the Panama Canal, and they remained in the isthmus bringing their customs and culture.
  • An indigenous little town ( Pueblito Indigena): Shows the way of living of our indigenous Indian groups like: Kunas, Emberas and Guaymies. After this visit we  go to the canal Miraflores Locks, where a Panama Canal Authority’s guide will explain the locks in operation, with no luck *you should be able to watch the ships in transit.  You will also visit the (on-site) Museum Exhibit, where you may want  tour the 4 floor levels full of displays showing: The Canal history; Water: fountain of life; The Canal in Action and The Canal in the World.
